What is Fishing App?

Fishing App is our iPhone app for anglers. It helps with two questions β€” where to fish and when β€” and keeps a private log of what you caught. What you can do in the app - Map β€” your saved spots and your catches on a map. Search for a place, or touch and hold any point on the water to mark it. Use the map - Forecast β€” a 7-day fishing forecast for any point: a bite score for every hour, the best fishing windows of the day, tide, wind, waves, weather, pressure and water temperature. Read the forecast - Catch log β€” log a catch with its species, photos, length, weight, place and time. The app adds the tide, wind, pressure and moon for that moment. Log a catch - Profile β€” all your catches and spots in lists you can sort and search, and the app's settings. Find your catches and spots It works on lakes and rivers as well as at sea. Tide and wave information is shown where it is available for the place. What you need - an iPhone with iOS 18 or later; - no registration β€” you can start right after you install the app: Install the app and start using it The app is in English. It shows your position, sets the place of a new spot or catch, and picks the forecast for where you are. The app does not use your location in the background. - Camera β€” asked when you choose Take photo while logging a catch. - Add to Photos β€” asked after you take a photo in the app, to save a copy to your photo library. If you say no, the photo is still attached to the catch. Choosing existing photos from your library needs no permission: the app receives only the photos you pick. Today the app does not send push notifications and does not ask for permission to track you across other apps and websites. If that changes, the app will ask for your permission first, and you can say no. You can change these any time in the iOS Settings app, on the app's page. Who can use the app You must be at least 13 years old, or older where the law of your country requires it (up to 16 in some EU countries).
