You do not need to register to use Fishing App.

The app creates an account for you automatically the first time you open it. This is how it saves your fishing records and keeps them synchronised with our servers. You are not asked for a name, an email address or a password: a unique identifier links your records to your account.

What belongs to your account

  • your catches, with their dates, times and locations;
  • your notes;
  • your saved spots.

These records are private. They are not shown to other users, and there is no way to share them from the app.

The photos of your catches are kept on your phone only: Photos of your catches

There is no sign-in

Because the app has no registration, there is also nothing to sign in to:

  • there is no username, password or email to recover;
  • the account cannot be opened on a second phone;
  • the Profile tab has no name or picture β€” it lists your catches and spots.

The account lives on this phone

Your account is tied to the app as it is installed on your iPhone.

  • Updating the app from the App Store keeps everything.
  • Deleting the app removes the account from the phone. If you install the app again, it starts empty with a new account, and the earlier records cannot be brought back.
  • A new phone starts with a new, empty account.
