Your account

You do not need to register to use Fishing App. The app creates an account for you automatically the first time you open it. What belongs to your account - your catches, with their dates, times and locations; - your notes; - your saved spots. These records are private. They are not shown to other users, and there is no way to share them from the app. The photos of your catches are kept on your phone only: Photos of your catches There is no sign-in Because the app has no registration, there is also nothing to sign in to: - there is no username, password or email to recover; - the account cannot be opened on a second phone; - the Profile tab has no name or picture β€” it lists your catches and spots. Use the app without a signal

Fishing App is built for places with no coverage. Your records are saved on your phone first and synchronised when a connection is available. What works offline - logging a catch β€” the species list, your position (GPS needs no network) and photos; - saving, editing and deleting spots and catches; - opening your catches and spots, with their photos; - the Profile lists, with sorting and search; - the forecast for places you opened while you were online β€” it is kept for up to seven days; - the units and the other settings. What needs a connection - the background map. Your pins and your position are still drawn. There is no way to download maps in advance; - searching for places, and the names of waters and places; - fresh weather and official weather warnings; - the conditions of a new catch (tide, wind, pressure, moon) β€” they are filled in once the phone is online; - Delete My Data; - the links to the Terms, the Privacy Policy and the App Store. How you can tell - On the map: "Map details need a connection. Your saved spots and GPS still work." - Under the forecast: "Offline - live updates paused Β· weather from 3:24 PM". - On a new catch: "Conditions will fill in shortly". Synchronising - The app synchronises by itself while it is open and the phone is online. There is no "sync" button and nothing to tap. - It does not synchronise while it is closed. After a trip without coverage, open the app once you are online. - The app has no sign that says "synchronised". A new catch whose conditions have filled in has reached our servers. Before you go somewhere without coverage While you are still online, open the Forecast for the place you are going to. It is then available offline for up to seven days. The background map cannot be saved in advance. Important The photos of your catches, and anything not yet synchronised, exist only on your phone.
