The Forecast tab shows the fishing forecast for one place, for today and the next six days.
The place and the days
- At the top is the place the forecast is for, with a caption: "Your location", "Saved spot", "Marked water" or "Marked location". To change it, tap the button in the top right corner: Choose the place for the forecast
- Under it is a row of seven days. Each day has a ring with a number β the day's score out of 100. Tap a day to see its forecast.
- An amber dot on a day means an official weather warning touches that day (United States only).
Best fishing windows
The stretches of the day when the bite score is high, in clock order. Each window shows:
- its time, for example 6 PM-8 PM;
- today only β how far away it is: "Starts in 1h 38m", "Happening now Β· 2h left", "Ended 25m ago";
- tags: night, rising tide or falling tide, rain, and the highest score in the window, for example 70 peak;
- sometimes a Caution line about strong wind or swell during the window.
"No strong windows today" means no part of the day scores high enough.
What the numbers mean: The bite score and the best fishing windows
Sun and moon
The times of sunrise and sunset, the phase of the moon and how much of it is lit.
The graphs
Under the hour ruler (12am β¦ 9pm, with Now marked on today) there is one section per measurement:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Bite score | a bar for every hour and the score out of 100 with a word β Great, Good, Fair or Slow |
| Tide | the tide curve with the times and heights of high and low water, and whether it is rising or falling |
| Wind | speed, gusts and direction |
| Waves | wave height, period and direction |
| Weather | air temperature, sky, rain and the chance of rain |
| Pressure | air pressure and whether it is rising, steady or falling |
| Water temperature | the temperature of the water |
The shaded parts of the graphs are the night.
Read any hour
Drag a finger across the graphs, or tap an hour: a line follows your finger and every section shows its value for that hour. Drag back to Now to return to the current hour.
On today, the sections show the current hour. On another day, they show the lowest and highest value of that day until you pick an hour.
Good to know
- All times are the local time of the place, not of your phone.
- The line at the bottom of the screen tells you how fresh the weather is: Where the forecast comes from and how fresh it is
- A section without data says so β for example "Tide data isn't available for this area yet." More: The forecast shows no data or looks outdated
- Units: Change the units
The forecast is an estimate, for personal recreational use. It is not a navigation or safety service: check the official local sources and the conditions around you before you go out.
