Remove one catch or spot
- A catch — open it, tap ⋯ → Delete and confirm. Edit or delete a catch
- A spot — open it, tap ⋯ → Delete and confirm. The catches logged there stay in your log. Open, edit or delete a spot
You can also touch and hold a catch or a spot on the Profile tab and tap Delete.
Delete everything
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap the gear button in the top right corner.
- Tap Delete My Data (the red row at the bottom).
- The app asks "Delete all your data?" — tap Delete.
The app shows "Deleting your data…" and then "Your data has been deleted".
This removes your account, your catches and your spots from our servers, and clears the app on your phone: the records, the photos kept in the app and your settings. It cannot be undone.
Afterwards the app starts fresh, as on the first day, with a new empty account.
What is not affected:
- photos saved in your iPhone's photo library;
- emails you sent to our support.
Copies may remain briefly in routine backups until they expire on the normal backup cycle.
You need a connection
Deleting everything needs the phone to be online.
| The app says | What it means |
|---|---|
| You're offline — Deleting your data needs a connection. Nothing has been deleted. | Connect to the internet and start again. |
| Waiting for a connection… | The request is on its way. Your data will be deleted as soon as the phone can reach the server. Tap Retry when you are online. |
| Couldn't delete your data | Something went wrong on our side and nothing was deleted. Tap Retry, or try again later. |
| Couldn't confirm deletion | The phone was cleared, but the server could not confirm. Write to support@blacklabr.com and quote the id shown in the message. |
If you cannot use the app
Write to support@blacklabr.com and ask us to delete your data. We aim to respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and fishing records for as long as your account exists, so the app can show your history — we do not delete it just because you have been away. Technical, usage and diagnostic data is kept for a limited period.
